The Values 20 Summit (V20) took place virtually for the first time on November 10, 2020 with more than 2,200 decision-makers and leaders from the private and public sectors across the globe, attending this G20 Saudi Arabia 2020 ancillary gathering.

The Group of 20, also known as the G20, is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. The G20 brings together the leaders of both developed and developing countries from every continent. Collectively, the G20 members represent around 80% of the world’s economic output, two-thirds of global population, and three-quarters of international trade. Throughout the year, representatives from G20 countries gather to discuss financial and socioeconomic issues. A diverse group of organizations and experts from around the world came together to establish V20 as a contributory engagement group within the G20 ecosystem, with the mission to demonstrate the “value of values.”

Having identified a lack of insight in how values can impact our lives and inform regional, national, and global policy-making, V20 members aim to advocate to the G20 (and wider world) the potential positive impact of people-centric public policy solutions. These must be based on principles and values which help to improve societal outcomes and contribute to overcoming global challenges.

Kaizen Institute Saudi Arabia represented Kaizen Institute as one of the panelists in the V20 Inaugural Summit on the discussion topic of our common ground: The Value of Values.

During the panel discussion, Dr Asif Chowdhury highlighted how KAIZEN™ fulfils its role of valuing values in the corporate context by defining the leadership role and subsequent initiatives necessary to improve and enhance values development.

Through this participation, Kaizen Institute has connected with the G20 mission to accelerate the accomplishment of their own corporate mission: improving the world with everyone, everywhere, every day, the KAIZEN™ way.
